Most small and mid-sized companies publish their leadership. It is on the About page, the Team page, sometimes the footer. What they rarely publish is a tidy mapping from those people to their email addresses.
The join is the hard part
You can usually find "Sarah Chen, Managing Director" and you can usually find s.chen@company.com. Connecting the two reliably is where naive tools guess and get it wrong.
Patterns that are safe to match
sarah.chen@— both names present, unambiguous.s.chen@— initial plus surname.schen@orsarahchen@— concatenated.chen@orsarah@— only safe when exactly one person on that domain carries the name.
Patterns that are never safe
A generic mailbox must never be attributed to a person. Neither must a single-token address when two people share that name — if there are two Sarahs, sarah@ belongs to neither of them as far as your CRM should be concerned.
Getting this wrong is worse than leaving the field empty. A salesperson who opens with the wrong person's name has burned the account.
